The Dreamers Have a Dream

The Dreamers. Pursuants of the same screwy dream of one day using their music to get laid, guitarist/vocalist Vince Campillo and bassist Jason Andre created this impressive classic dance rock band armed at first with merely their instruments, a drum machine and a wish. With enough songs to qualify as a set, they quickly picked up a bi-monthly gig and cleverly placed cymbal behind his head. With each successful performance, their repertoire has grown to eleven as yet unrecorded songs, but the dream remains the same. And with hopes of “going Hollywood” and leaving this city with middle fingers raised, as talented Las Vegas born indie rock bands seem to do, I look forward to just enough time to shake my hips with Crown and Seven in hand at each performance. So come down and buy me a drink. The Dreamers are the new resident band at Firefly on Paradise just North of Flamingo, across from the Wells Fargo tower and will play every other Thursday starting June 9th.
