Absent Minded is a shotgun blast to the general public. We have the power to drop the jaws of every audience member we play to whether it be a packed house at Jillian's, or a rap club filled with 130 people anxiously waiting to get down to hip hop (true story!). We are first and foremost a live band to be experienced. No record will ever be able to translate the powerhouse that is Absent Minded. We're pretty much the loudest/fullest three-piece you'll ever hear. Absent Minded is simply a no bullshit punk rock and roll band.

Absent Minded consists of three of the craziest mother fuckers you'll ever come across- even for Vegas. We've got Travis (19) on bass, and I’m really glad to have him in the band because it’s like playing with myself…err…playing music with myself. We’ve got a great chemistry. Adam (21) our drummer has come a long way from when we first met. He used to throw up before every show, but lately he’s been keeping it down. He is better known as the caveman for his lack of articulation (verbally), and his ability to beat the shit out of any piece of drum apparatus placed in front of him. I, Brendan, 19 going on 40(people are always surprised I'm 19 because I’ve been in this scene for so long), front, play guitar, manage, and write for the band. Live, I'm more likely to spurt off a bunch of neurotic babble, in between smashing my head into things, and cutting my arms open while wearing no pants. All three of us are so different; it amazes me that we gel so well together live, especially when most of the time, we're trying to kill each other.

Absent Minded is my life's blood, and my reason for getting up every morning. In it's almost four years of existence, Absent Minded has given me a lifetime of memories, and opportunities, some people will never see or have. Opportunities such as playing for thousands of screaming fans, sharing the stage with acts such as: The Killers, T.S.O.L, Against Me!, and The Swingin' Utters, and recording records with punk rock legend Bill Stevenson (Descendents, Rise Against). I will never forget being locked out of Bill Stevenson’s studio in Colorado (40 degree weather!) in my underpants because SOMEBODY decided to lock the door behind them. We all got into a fistfight over bringing strippers back to our motel room in Colorado, which resulted in us getting kicked out of the motel room by some crazy man with blood all over his shirt. We never found out what was up with that guy.

Once, while we were on tour in Reno, playing a show with a bunch of hardcore bands, I got kicked in the leg by some kid who was doing his ninja dancing shit. That almost resulted in a fight, but we snuck out the back before things got too ugly. We just have terrible luck and even worse timing. Reno is the greatest place to walk around late at night and call your old high school teachers. Adam led us through the UNR campus as we left a more-than-memorable message on our favorite teacher’s voicemail. We still call him sometimes when it’s late and we’re bored (stay cool, jazzy cat!). On that same tour, we were in Los Angeles and we somehow managed to squeeze 8 guys into a motel room PLUS all of our equipment without getting busted for having way too many dudes in a single room. I have great memories of us walking around the LA area, and just as Travis was about to climb up a tree and take a piss (don't ask), a cop car rolled by and we narrowly escaped an indecent exposure ticket and who knows what else. Also, if you’re ever in Downey, CA and you meet a weird foreign kid at Del Taco that asks you where you got your awesome hoodie, tell him his picture is in the mail and we haven’t forgotten him.

Absent Minded is a force and presence that will not be stopped until something or someone puts me in my deathbed. We’ve fought long and hard for everything we have, and we greatly appreciate anyone who has helped and supported us along the way. Absent Minded isn't just music to help me deal, its music for anyone who's been fucked over, heartbroken, or just sick of the bullshit of everyday life. Absent Minded plays the theme song for the underdog.

Absent Minded has come a long way from the early days of playing Sonic Drive Thru's and any bar that would let kids in. During this time with Absent Minded, I have learned more than any school could ever teach me. From booking to making t-shirts, this band has made me the person I am today, and I wouldn't trade it for anything. That being said…check out myspace.com/absentminded, listen to us and tell all of your friends. Thanks to: Brian Saliba, Nicole @ Shoestring, Homie, Kim, Rick Honaker (R.I.P), our friends and family and the Las Vegas Music Scene for all the support.
