AZ- 3 years.

AZ- Abstract Skateboards.

When/how did you get into skateboarding?
AZ- My uncle bought me a Star Wars skateboard back in the day at K-mart. Pretty cool.

What was your first real set up and how did you get it?
AZ- Well I asked my dad to give me $100 and I went to Utility Boardshop out in Cali, and I bought a Shorty’s deck with Grind King trucks and Spitfire Wheels.

What are you riding now?
AZ- An Abstract.

What was the first skate video you saw?
AZ- Sight Unseen. There are some tight ass people in it.

What is your daily routine like?
AZ- Go to school. Get out. Eat, then skateboard. I do my homework in the morning.

Is there any particular skater that you have looked up to growing up?
AZ- I would have to say Geoff Rowley.

Who is the first pro you ever met.
AZ- Um… Vinny Vegas.

Who is your biggest influence now?
AZ- Ragdoll.

Do you ware baseball caps or those fashionable woven-head-snuggies?
AZ- Baseball caps.

Do you keep your pants up shoelace-hill-billy-style or stick with a regular ‘ol belt?
AZ- Shoelaces.

What’s your parent’s view on skateboarding?
AZ- They think it’s a very dangerous hobby. They just don’t want me to get hurt.

How many times will you try a trick before you quit?
AZ- Until I have no more energy.

If you get stuck trying to grind something sticky, do you wax it or get more speed?
AZ- More speed baby, more speed.

Would you describe your relationship with flip tricks; is there a basic one that give you trouble?
AZ- Kickflips dude, I hate [regular] kickflips.

Do you prefer street skating or park skating?
AZ- Street all the way!

Which is more fun: a manual pad or a thirteen-stair handrail?
AZ- I’ll take the stairs dude, screw a manual pad.

What is something that can distract you from skating, on any given day?
AZ- Sex, girls sex.

Do you get a lot of girls?
AZ- What, hell yeah… sometimes… I’ll get back to you on that one.

Who are your skate homies?
AZ- V-dizz, a.k.a Victor Torres, George Campo Verde, all the horns at Winchester and the Abstract team.

Who is the best skater on the team your on now?
AZ-Matt Balls or Jeff Smith

Do you have any funny skateboarding stories?
AZ- I once kickfliped this twelve and slipped out and did a butt-slide, kind of like a firecracker, but with my butt instead of my board.

What is one trick you have done but will never do again?
AZ- Kickflip.

What is the most ridiculous thing in skateboarding?
AZ- All the haters dude, screw the haters.
